About IPPS and Midrange Software
Midrange Software created an in-house solution that has been very successful for over 20 years in the HR and Payroll Industries. IPPS now offers this robust system as a SaaS model.
At IPPS We take client support very seriously, and will go above and beyond to make sure your questions are addressed in a timely fashion. The IPPS support team is versed and trained in all of our modules as well as being subject matter experts in the HRIS and Payroll industries.
Our clients are given direct access to their personal support representative, and calls to our main office number will be promptly answered by a receptionist--no automated menus, endless transfers or long hold times.
Our goal is to empower the user to capture and report on all facets of the employee lifecycle, and provide our clients with the technology they need to streamline and improve their company workflow.
The IPPS Executive Team
Our company roots began in 1988 when Jacques Ohana and his brother Simon Ohana founded and ran Midrange Software, an in-house solution that has been very successful for over 20 years in the HR and Payroll Industries. We now deploy this powerful and mature product as a Software as a Service model to allow companies in the US and internationally to take advantage of the tools it offers without the high up-front investment required to purchase the system in-house.
Jacques Ohana is the President and the co-founder of IPPS: Innovative Payroll and Personnel Solutions, and is also President and founder of Midrange Software, Inc. Midrange's software has been implemented throughout the world and is being used by a variety of industries. Jacques earned a bachelor's degree with honors in computer science from the prestigious Louis Pasteur University, Paris, France in 1980. After spending four years in France designing mail order systems on the S/34 and S/36, Jacques made the jump across the Atlantic to the USA to work as an independent consultant for Apple, TransAmerica, Disney and Sanyo. With a strong C programming background, Jacques teamed up with his brother, Simon, in designing the PERMS Human Resources system, which today has been expanded to include Payroll, Time and Attendance, Recruiting, and Self-Service solutions.
Simon Ohana is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of IPPS and the Vice President of Midrange Software, Inc. Prior to IPPS, he teamed up with his brother Jacques at Midrange in 1990, and has been instrumental in making all programs in the PERMS Family. Simon holds a bachelor's degree in computer science with honors from the prestigious Louis Pasteur University. Simon spent seven years in France designing a major mail order system on the S/34, S/36, and later the S/38 with his brother Jacques, and also developed a number of major applications for large French corporations. In 1990, he moved to the US and has been instrumental in making some of the innovative GUI-like Interfaces in several Automated Buy Cards, Purchasing Quick Receiver and Navigator.
